The MSI GF63 10SCSR-1202XFR Thin against the competition
The MSI GF63 10SCSR-1202XFR Thin is currently on sale at Cybertek and GrosBill. It is positioned as one of the lightest in its category where competition is very limited.

Chassis, connectors, screen of MSI GF63 10SCSR-1202XFR Thin
With its thin and light case in light black brushed aluminum, it has a sober and elegant appearance while taking up the gamer codes with its touches of red.

Its cooling is entrusted to the Cooler Boost 3 technology which uses fans and heat pipes to cool it.
There is also the SHIFT function to switch between 3 operating modes (Sport, Comfort and Eco) as well as the Cooler Boost 3 technology to cool it using fans and heat pipes.

This gaming laptop PC does not come with Windows. But it is necessary to install this system or at least a full OS on it, such as a Linux distribution, to fully exploit its capabilities.
Thus, for example, we can take advantage of NVIDIA Optimus technology which determines in real time the graphics needs according to the tasks performed by the user. When necessary, Optimus switches automatically and in real time between the graphics solution integrated in the processor and the dedicated card.

The first is given maximum preference by Optimus despite its modest performance because its low energy consumption favors autonomy compared to the second, which is more greedy and powerful. Both of course allow viewing of photos and videos.

This Ultrabook gamer is well equipped in terms of connectivity with its Wi-Fi ax wireless modules (more recent and efficient than Wi-Fi ac) and Bluetooth 5 for remote connections and communications, its HDMI video output (positioned at the rear) practical for easy connection to a TV or monitor for example, its Ethernet and audio ports, its USB 3.1 Type-C without forgetting its 3 USBs all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, the USB 3.0 guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are plugged into it.

Of course, a backlighting system is fitted to the chiclet keyboard, which is very practical for distinguishing its keys in the event of reduced ambient light. In addition, the development of the keyboard was carried out with SteelSeries to adapt to the habits of the players.
However, those who regularly enter numbers may regret the lack of a numeric keypad on the right when it is a standard 15-inch.

The screen will be of interest to gamers because it improves fluidity in games thanks to its refresh rate of 144Hz higher than the standard 60Hz. Thanks to its IPS technology, the screen also reproduces colors more faithfully than average while ensuring wide viewing angles, both horizontally and vertically. It is also very suitable for displaying videos and more generally High Definition content thanks to its 16: 9 format and precise Full HD definition. As it is anti-reflective, the screen is also more readable in a bright environment (eg outdoors) than a shiny panel.

Performance, autonomy of the MSI GF63 10SCSR-1202XFR Thin
The MSI GF63 10SCSR-1202XFR Thin is a versatile 15-inch performance thin and light gaming oriented laptop.

Thanks to the on-board GeForce GTX 1650 Ti, here in Max-Q edition, this gaming laptop is able to run many games with settings under the opuses greedy in graphics resources to benefit from good playability.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q accelerates processing in software using GPU computing power, such as Sony Vegas or Adobe Photoshop / Premiere.

The core of this Ultrabook gamer supports the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q well in gaming as it consists of an Intel HM470 chipset, a Comet Lake-H Quad Core i5-10300H processor and a fair amount of 8 GB RAM.
These components more generally deliver solid general performance capable of satisfying a maximum of users.
The Quad Core i5-10300H, for example, guarantees much faster processing than a low-power Quad Core processor, particularly in areas that take advantage of multicore, such as video editing, 3D rendering or photo retouching, something that is of interest to creators.

Creators and gamers alike will appreciate having an onboard SSD because this storage ensures much better fluidity and responsiveness on a daily basis than a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, for example, we benefit from a faster arrival on the cards of online games or games / software launches, starts / stops and much faster processing.

An SSD is indeed much faster than a hard drive while being more resistant to shocks, more energy efficient and silent. Here the SSD offers a capacity of 512 GB in phase with the standard of hard disks.

If, however, more space is needed, a 2.5 inch slot is free to add a second SSD or a hard drive. You can also use an external storage unit such as a USB 3.0 device to obtain fast transfers.

As for autonomy, with Optimus, bet on about 7 hours of battery operation in light use, against about 2 to 3 hours without Optimus. In any case, the transport of this gaming laptop PC is facilitated by its finesse and lightness.
But this implies in return for noise and heating when it is strongly pushed (eg: games, treatments).
